My advice is to be prepared to have an extra passenger at night for a little while. But I was an older brother, not a parent, and I suspect in your case the suggestion that if anyone without blood shows up she set them on fire might undermine the cause of anyone getting to sleep.

It's a little late for that. You're already riling him up just by making the indirect insinuation that he is an asshole for not helping out people in need. It's not about being "not nice", it's about calling someone out on their behavior and I think you've done it in a very respectable way.
