I think some of them wrote the Blight into Thedas's code. Perhaps not all, perhaps not even many of them.
Not all in the Magisterium are evil, that doesn't mean the suffering of those sacrificed to blood magic should be forgiven.
The

is the problem. It's the system that shouldn't be forgotten.
